Feeding tips for the finishing phase:

  • A portion of the grain component can be substituted to great advantage with Molatek Molasses Meal
  • Maize can be partly replaced with the following:
    • 50% with barley
    • 50% with triticale  (milled)
    • 20% with wheat (milled)
    • 50% with sorghum (milled)
    • 100% with hominy chop
  • Grind small grains to a fine texture.
  • Grind maize coarsely (grit).
  • Grind roughage with a 50 mm sieve.
  • Diets that are too dry (without silage) usually limit intake. Add 5-10% (± 100 kg) water per ton of feed.
