MOLATEK Animal Feed is a division of Tsb Sugar with its head office in the picturesque Onderberg Valley in the Southeastern Lowveld.  Tsb Sugar’s most important activities include the manufacture of sugar in its mills at Malalane and Komatipoort and the processing of by-products of sugar cane such as ANIMAL FEEDS.
Tsb Sugar started its own animal feed manufacturing plant under the trade name MOLATEK in October 1985, producing feeds using molasses and bagasse as its basic ingredients.  Today an extensive range of advanced concentrates, licks and energy rations are manufactured and marketed for, among others, beef cattle, dairy cattle, calves, sheep, goats, horses and ostriches.
After a modest beginning MOLATEK started to extend its market and its quality products are now fed with tremendous success by farmers all over SOUTH AFRICA, NAMIBIA and BOTSWANA.  Meticulous quality control in MOLATEK’S own laboratory ensures that products of outstanding quality, complying with prescribed specifications, are produced.   MOLATEK endeavors to supply feed components that are not easily available on the farm, to the producer as easy mix concentrates. Other components, such as grain and roughage, can be mixed in by the farmer himself.  By doing so the stock farmer can save costs and also be in control of the quality of his feedstuffs. MOLATEKS’ molasses-based concentrates ensure palatability, nutritional care and the prevention of dusty feeds.  MOLATEKS’ molasses-based feeds are indeed something special as it is easy to mix in spite of high levels of molasses.   The excellent mix ability of MOLATEK feedstuffs can be ascribed to the sugar cane core, which is utilized as carrier to absorb the molasses.
